The Hallogreen® is opening this Saturday, October 30th from 8am to 12noon at the Daytona Beach Downtown Farmers Market (located near 105 E Magnolia Ave, 32114).
The Hallogreen® is a fun, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional Halloween festivities. It is a Green Halloween® event, part of a national nonprofit, grassroots community initiative to create healthier and more Earth-friendly holidays, starting with Halloween (greenhalloween.org). The Hallogreen® is organized by volunteers of Florida EcoNet and Green Halloween®, as a fundraiser for The Fair Share Urban Agriculture Project (wedigfairshare.org).
Play in our Kids’ Zone.
Shop for Eco-products from local vendors.
Treat-or-Treasure for healthy treats.
Make Arts & Crafts.
Enjoy a few Green Workshops.
Dance and play to some fabulous live music.
Enter our Kids or Dog Eek-O Costume contests,
& much more.
Kids of “all” ages can come play in our Kids Zone where we will offer
a Paint a Pumpkin activity (sponsored by the Art Consortium of Volusia County), storytelling and make and paint your own bird-house craft (courtesy WHOLE, a Charlotte Mason technique Dame School instructor),
Face Painting (by Artistry by Jordan),
Sack Races (organized by Boy Scout Troop 270),
Meet RaeRae, the big rend panda of the EnviroPals® PBS TV show,
bounce in the jumpy house, and more.
More kid-friendly eco-crafts and activities will be in place at other vendors booths throughout the event.
Entertainment schedule includes:
8am Keeon Taylor (Steel Drummer)
9am Kids Yoga (Kim Latford) & Melody Long Anglin (harpist & sound script therapist)
10am Eco-Fashion Show (Teens Go Green), and at
10:30am Daytona Beach Belly Dance performance
Eek-O Costume Contests:
Hallogreen® will offer two costume contests, one for dogs and the other for children ages 0 to 17.

Most-bio-boo-gradable (hint, try to make your costume out of compostable materials).

The Giveaway (raffle):
To close our event with a fabulous finish, there will be 17 drawings for Giveaway prizes, worth up to 250+, starting at 12noon. Winners must be present to win. Prizes include organic skincare, plants, healthy (and delicious) food and treats, dog treats, food, and ultimately sustainable products.
Admission:
Admission is free, but there will be opportunities to donate to our local nonprofit beneficiary, Fair Share, throughout the event.
