About Treeswing

At Green Halloween®, we define being green as not only making healthy and Earth-friendly choices but also helping others. While we work to create new and sustainable Halloween traditions, we’re also bringing back an old Halloween tradition that has nearly disappeared: raising money for a worthy cause. In Seattle, all of the money we raise will benefit Treeswing. (In other communities where we have a Green Halloween® volunteer coordinator, a portion of the funds raised will also go to Treeswing. For a list of local beneficiaries in cities outside of Seattle, please see our map page and click on the community nearest to you.)

We encourage you to find creative ways to help others in your own community this Halloween. Please let us know how your family, school, organization or community has worked together to make this world a better place. We may feature you on our site!

Treeswing, a 501(c) 3, is a Seattle based non-profit organization which serves the children, families and communities of the Pacific Northwest as well as the nation through Green Halloween. Through innovative partnerships and programs, Treeswing improves the health of our children and prevents childhood obesity.

Treeswing’s vision is to build generations of healthy, active communities. Treeswing works to support the health and wellness of children, believing that healthy change is more than altering behaviors or creating boundaries, it’s about understanding cultures and shaping new environments.

Treeswing’s core values are centered on prevention, compassion, collaboration, excellence and integrity. In addition, they approach their goals with a focus on execution and measurement, transparency, accountability, advocacy, inclusivity, optimism and more than a little fun!
